I grew up in the mountains of Colorado, where fresh air, open spaces, and the beauty of nature shaped my love for flowers. From an early age, I found joy in getting my hands dirty—whether planting, foraging, or simply soaking in the colors of each season. In high school, I managed a floral shop, and what started as curiosity quickly became a lifelong passion. Soon, I was designing arrangements for the weddings of friends and family, captivated by the way flowers could transform a space and evoke emotion. I have now worked in the floral industry for 20 years. My love for art led me to study Art History and Spanish in Granada, Spain—a place that continues to inspire me with its vibrant architecture, rich textures, and bold artistic expression. Artists like Frida Kahlo and Henri Matisse influence my approach to floral design. I love to blend asymmetry with movement, pairing unexpected textures and colors to create arrangements that feel fresh, natural, and full of life. Tulips and blue delphiniums hold a special place in my heart, reminding me of home. But my favorite part of floral design is sharing it—especially with my 12-year-old daughter, Olive, who shares my passion and creativity. Watching her explore the art of arranging brings me so much joy. For me, flowers are more than just arrangements—they are stories, emotions, and small moments of joy.
